On using Google’s Chrome browser to make the last post, I noticed a “Turbo” mode referenced in the Dashboard banner in Wordpress. I had missed that Wordpress 2.6 now supports Google gears. If you want to work offline and don’t use something like MarsEdit, this is a great solution.

I have not read through the whole comic book (!) yet, so unsure if it uses any Gecko code.
Edit: It’s based on Webkit - which you may recognize as the engine behind Safari and newer Symbian-based phones.

Roughly Drafted has the inside scoop on why AT&T is pushing the 2.0.2 firmware so aggressively. Go read the post, but in short, it seems an algorithm on the iPhone 3G required too much power from the AT&T transmitters. When the transmitters run short of power, some people will experience dropped calls.

The number of games on the App Store is amazing. It is currently the most populated category and is only going to increase as developers unlock the power of the device. The “What’s Hot” grouping also shows that they are among the most popular apps (based on whatever algorithm Apple uses).
